Route of Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu


Day 1: Cusco – Abra Malaga Pass – Santa Maria. Cycling downhil for 4 to 5 hours. Optional end of the day rafting in Santa Maria (season October to April)

Day 2: Santa Maria – Santa Theresa
Six to seven hours trekking to reach Cocalmayo. Optional thermal baths. Thirty more minutes hike to reach hotel.

Day 3: Santa Theresa – Hydroelectric Station – Aguas Calientes
Zip linining in Santa Thereza. Hike 2 hours to Hydroeletric Station plus two hours to Aguas Calientes (optional to take a train to Aguas Calientes)

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Bus and entrance to Machu Picchu included (forth and back). Van or bus back to Cusco (optional to return by train).
